Mailing Address
US law requires a postal address in marketing email. Booked55 prints your organization's mailing address at the bottom of every Broadcast, newsletter issue and sequence email, on the line under the unsubscribe link. Until an owner or manager has saved one, new marketing email cannot start.
Where to set it
Open your Organization settings and choose the Mailing Address tab. Owners and managers see the tab; other roles do not. Click Edit, fill in the address and click Save.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Street address | Required. |
| Address line 2 | Optional. |
| City | Required. |
| State / region | Required. |
| Postal code | Required. |
| Country | Required. |
Each part can be up to 120 characters. The address is saved as a whole, so leaving Address line 2 blank clears any earlier second line.
Which emails carry it
- Broadcasts
- Newsletter issues
- Sequence emails (drip campaigns and cold outreach)
In each, the address sits in the footer, directly under Unsubscribe from these emails. Touchpoints and one-to-one emails have no footer, so they carry no address and are not affected by this setting.
What is refused without it
While your organization has no mailing address, Booked55 refuses to:
- launch or schedule a Broadcast;
- launch or schedule a newsletter issue;
- activate a sequence, or resume a paused one.
An owner or manager sees “Add your organization's mailing address before sending marketing email.” with an Add mailing address button that opens the tab. Anyone else sees “Ask an owner or manager to add your organization's mailing address before sending marketing email.”
The AI assistant and AI clients connected through the MCP server are refused the same way. The message they get reads “Add your organization's mailing address before sending marketing email. An owner or manager can set it in organization settings.”
Touchpoints are never refused for this reason. Creating a Broadcast, newsletter or sequence is not refused either — only starting it is.
Emails already going out
The check runs only when something starts. A Broadcast or newsletter issue that is already sending keeps sending, and a sequence that was already active keeps sending its steps. From the moment the address is saved, every email that goes out after that carries it.
A sequence that was paused — by you, or because the organization had no active subscription — needs the address before it can be resumed.
The reminder on the Outreach page
While the organization has no mailing address, owners and managers see a notice at the top of Email → Outreach: “Add your organization's mailing address. Marketing emails must carry one, and new Broadcasts, newsletters and sequences can't start without it.” Its Add mailing address button opens the tab. Sales people do not see the notice; the refusal they meet when they try to start a send tells them whom to ask.
