Templates

Email templates save you time by providing reusable content for campaigns and individual emails. Build templates with the drag-and-drop visual builder for rich, professional designs or the basic text editor for quick, text-focused emails. Both support dynamic variables that personalize each message with contact and company data.

Templates list

The Templates page shows a searchable table of all templates in your workspace. Search by template name, subject, or body content. Templates created with the drag-and-drop builder show a Visual badge and a small HTML preview in the description column. The global user filter restricts the view to templates created by a specific team member.

Three ways to create templates

When you click Create Template, a dialog gives you three options:

• Claude or ChatGPT (MCP) — The way we recommend. It copies a prompt for Claude or ChatGPT connected to Booked55 through the MCP server. Paste it into a chat, attach the files to work from, and say what the email is for. The AI writes the template and saves it to your Templates page.
• Basic Text Editor — A rich text editor with formatting toolbar and HTML toggle. Best for simple, text-focused emails, which is all most emails need. Saves when you click Create Template.
• Drag & Drop Builder — A full-screen visual canvas for designing responsive, multi-column email layouts with images, buttons, social icons, and more. No coding required. Auto-saves after the first manual save. Use it when you want a designed layout; most emails do not need one.

To start from a template you already have, click the Duplicate icon on its row in the list. The copy keeps all content, design, subject, and attachments, and is named automatically (e.g., “My Template copy”, “My Template copy (1)”). Duplicating is not one of the options in the Create Template dialog.

A new account starts with one sample template, Getting Started with Templates. Until you have a template of your own, the Templates page shows three short walkthroughs under the list, one for each of these ways, with the Claude or ChatGPT prompt ready to copy. If you have no templates at all, the walkthroughs take the place of the list, under “No templates yet”.

The prompt only works in a Claude or ChatGPT chat that is already connected to Booked55 through MCP. The notice above the prompt says so, and its Open the MCP page link goes to the MCP Server documentation, which has the steps for connecting each one.

What templates support

• Drag-and-drop visual design — Responsive layouts with content blocks, images, buttons, social icons, timers, and more.
• Basic text editing — Rich text editor with formatting toolbar for simple emails.
• HTML mode — Switch to raw HTML for full control over layout and styling (in the basic text editor).
• Dynamic variables — Placeholders like {{contact.first_name}} that are replaced with real data when sent.
• Attachments — Add inline and regular file attachments to templates (basic text editor).
• Desktop & mobile preview — Preview your design on different screen sizes (drag-and-drop builder).
• Auto-save — The drag-and-drop builder auto-saves every 10 seconds after the first manual save.
• Email signature — The basic text editor displays your active email signature below the body for reference.
