Account Setup
After creating your Booked55 account, there are a few steps to configure before your workspace is fully ready. This guide covers confirming your email, profile completion, integrations, and organization setup.
Confirm your email
When you sign up, Booked55 emails a 6-digit code to the address you signed up with. Enter it on the Confirm your email screen to continue. Until you do, nothing else in Booked55 opens, including onboarding. If you signed up with Google, or with a Microsoft or Apple account that has already confirmed the address, Booked55 skips this step.
- No email? Check your spam folder, then click Send a new code. You can ask for a new code once a minute, up to three times in ten minutes. Each code works for 15 minutes, and only the newest one works.
- Signed out before confirming? Sign in again on the website. Booked55 emails you a fresh code. The mobile app can't confirm an address, so it asks you to do it on the website first.
- Too many wrong codes? After 10 wrong codes, Booked55 stops sending codes. Use Forgot password on the sign-in page instead: setting a new password from that email also confirms your address.
- An older confirmation link? Links in older sign-up emails no longer confirm anything. They take you to the sign-in page, where you get a code instead.
Signing up through an event's link
An event organizer can give attendees a Booked55 link for their event. The page it opens names the event and the organizer, with the event's dates and place. Signing up through it starts a free trial: until a date the organizer chose, or for 14 days. A trial from a link is never shorter than 14 days, and most links need no card (see A trial with no card).
- 1
Create your badge
The page opens on Create your badge, with the event's dates and place. Fill in your name, and if you like your job title, company name, phone, email and LinkedIn. Anyone who scans your badge can see what you put here. Nothing is saved yet; your browser keeps what you typed, so refreshing the page or signing up with Google or Apple loses nothing.
- 2
Decide about sharing with the organizer
Under your details, the box Share anonymous event stats with the organizer is never ticked for you. Some links are only for people who agree to share, and you need to tick it to go on; on others it is your choice. See When the link asks you to share and What the organizer sees. Then click Next. Your browser does not keep this answer: if the page is loaded again before your account exists, it opens on your details and asks again.
- 3
Create your account
Under Sign up to save your badge, click Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Apple, or enter your email and a password, type the password again under Confirm password, and click Create account. Google and Apple open their own sign-in page and bring you back to the event's link; Microsoft opens a small window. Edit, beside your name, takes you back to your details.
- 4
Confirm your email
If you signed up with an email and a password, enter the 6-digit code Booked55 emails you, as for any new account. Signing up with Google, Microsoft or Apple usually skips this step: you are asked for the code only when they could not confirm the address is yours.
- 5
Get the app
Your details are saved as your badge and shown back under Your badge is ready. The QR code itself is in the mobile app: on a phone, a button opens the App Store or Google Play; on a computer you see both, and Continue on the web. If the link needs a card, Add a card to start your free trial comes first.
- 6
Accept the Terms
The first time Booked55 opens for you, in the mobile app or on the web, a pop-up asks you to tick I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and click Continue. It stays until you do.
The event is added to your Events for you. Your organization is named after you (with a number after your name when another organization already has it); an owner can rename it on the Organization page. Some links also skip the setup steps, so you start straight away. The first time you sign in to the mobile app on a device, it opens your public profile, ready to show your QR code at the event. The first time the code is on screen, the app points out three things, one after the other: your QR code, the round add button that scans other people, and Scan QR code on the sheet it opens. Tap anywhere else to put the pointers away for good.
Your badge is your public profile: add a photo and more links, or change anything, from the app or from Profile on the web. If the link keeps Booked55's setup steps, your details are saved when you open Get the app afterwards.
Arriving from someone's badge
If you scanned another attendee's badge with your phone's camera and tapped Save them in Booked55, the page opens on Save and their name instead, with their details already filled in. Correct anything, click Save contact, then sign up as above. As soon as your account exists, they are saved to your contacts under the event. You can make your own badge afterwards in the app.
If you already have a Booked55 account, don't fill in your details. Click Already on Booked55?, under the button on the first step.
- On a phone with the Booked55 app — The link opens the app. It shows the organizer's sharing box, never ticked for you, and Add event name to my Booked55. This needs an up-to-date version of the app.
- On a computer, or a phone without the app — You sign in, and the link comes back with the same sharing box and Save event, and asks which of your organizations to save the event in when you have more than one. A badge you scanned on the way is waiting above it, and is saved to your contacts once the event is in your account.
Tick the box if you want to share, or if the link asks for it, then save the event. It is added to the Events of the organization you picked, and opens there. Your plan and trial don't change. Continue with Google, Microsoft or Apple on the form also signs in an account you already have, instead of creating a second one.
When the link asks you to share
The organizer decides whether their link is only for people who agree to share anonymous event stats. When it is, you can't create your account through that link, or add the event to an account you already have, without ticking the box. The box is still yours to tick: Booked55 never ticks it for you.
- Prefer not to share? You can sign up for Booked55 without the event's link. That is Booked55's usual sign-up, with its usual trial and steps, not the event's offer. The event isn't added to your account and nothing is shared with the organizer.
- Changed your mind later? Turn sharing off at any time under Profile → Privacy. It stops from that moment, and you keep your account and the event.
- Already added the event? You don't have to tick the box again, even if the organizer's link starts asking later.
A trial with no card
When the link needs no card, your trial starts as soon as you confirm your email. Add a card under Organization → Billing at any time to keep going; until you do, Booked55 emails a reminder 7 days and 1 day before the trial ends. If it ends with no card, nothing is charged and nothing is deleted, and you are not locked out: you keep your contacts, every way to add one, and your public profile with its QR code. Tasks, pipelines, email and the AI assistant stop until you add a card and click Resume subscription. See Business & Billing.
What the organizer sees
If you tick Share anonymous event stats with the organizer, your event is counted in the totals the organizer sees for it, such as how many people swapped contacts and how many meetings followed. Nobody is named, and no total covering fewer than 5 people is shown. Your name, your contacts, your notes and everything else in your Booked55 stay with you.
See exactly what is shared, under the box, opens What an Event Organizer Sees, which lists every total. You can turn sharing off at any time under Profile → Privacy, and it stops from that moment.
Complete your profile
Navigate to your Profile, click Edit on the Profile tab, and fill in:
- Display name — Your full name as it appears to team members.
- Phone number — Your phone number in this organization.
- Location — City, state/province, country, and zip/postal code.
Your Time zone is filled in from your device when you sign up, and Booked55 asks you to confirm it. Every date and time in Booked55 is shown in that zone. See Time zone.
To add LinkedIn and other social links, ask the AI assistant. See Social Media Links.
Connect integrations
Booked55 integrates with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for email and calendar:
- Gmail or Microsoft Outlook — Send emails directly from contact profiles and campaigns. Link one on your Profile's Emails tab; see Integrations.
- Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar — Sync your calendar so your meetings sit alongside your Daily Tasks.
- Email signature — Set up your email signature on your Profile's Emails tab. While it is Active, it is added to every email you send through Booked55.
Set up your organization
If you are the workspace owner, navigate to Organization to configure:
- Organization name and business type (public, private, government).
- Business industries and departments.
- Client description — A brief description of your ideal customer.
- Billing — Currency and GST number.
Invite your team
Once your organization is set up, invite team members from the Users page. Each user can be assigned one of four roles — Owner, Manager, Operator or Sales Person — which controls their permissions.
