Creating Activities

Logging activities is how you track every touchpoint with a contact. Consistent activity logging feeds into your Scoreboard metrics and gives your team visibility into the full relationship history.

Creating a contact activity

Contact activities are linked to a specific person in your CRM. They track calls, meetings, emails, and other interactions.

  1. 1

    Open the Activity Wizard

From the contact detail page, click "Add Activity" in the header or from the timeline tab. You can also create activities from the pipeline board by clicking a contact card.

  2. 2

    Choose the activity type

Select from: Call, SMS, Email, Meeting, Visit/Drop-in, Lunch, Dinner, Recreation, Event Registration, Event Attendance, Social Media, Follow Up, Calendar Event, or Note.

  3. 3

    Add a description

Describe what happened or what needs to happen. Be specific — this is your record of the interaction.

  4. 4

    Set the date

Choose the date the activity occurred (for past activities) or when it should happen (for future tasks). You can create activities for past dates as well.

  5. 5

    Save

Click "Save" to create the activity. It appears in the activities list, the contact's timeline, and contributes to Scoreboard metrics.

Creating a sales activity

Sales activities are not linked to a specific contact — they focus on your overall sales strategy and daily discipline. These can be assigned to any team member.

  1. 1

    Click "Add Sales Activity"

From the Activities page, click the button in the top-right corner to open the Sales Activity Creation modal.

  2. 2

    Choose the sales activity type

Select from: Market Research, Event & Networking, Brand Visibility, Referral Expansion, Partnership Building, Webinar, Group Video Calls, or One-to-Many Outreach.

  3. 3

    Add a description

A default description is pre-filled based on the activity type. Edit it to be specific about what you plan to do.

  4. 4

    Assign and schedule

Choose who the task is assigned to and set the date.

  5. 5

    Save

The sales activity appears in the activities list like any other task.

Places you can create activities

  • Activities page — The “Add Sales Activity” button for non-contact tasks.
  • Contact detail page — The “Add Activity” button in the header for contact-linked tasks.
  • Contact timeline — The “Add Activity” link within the timeline tab.
  • Pipeline board — Click a contact card to open the Activity Wizard for meeting logging.
  • Pipeline stage automation — When a stage has “generate activity on entry” enabled, a modal prompts you to log a meeting when a contact enters that stage. See Stage Automations.
  • Automatic (pipeline frequency) — When a pipeline stage has activity frequency enabled, tasks are generated automatically based on the configured cadence.

Activity types

Booked55 supports the following activity types:

  • Call
  • SMS
  • Email
  • Social Media
  • Meeting
  • Visit / Drop-in
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Recreation (golf, cigar, boat, etc.)

Inline actions

From the tasks table, you can take quick actions without opening a separate page:

  • Compose email — For email-type tasks, click the email icon to open a compose modal. Sending the email can automatically complete the task.
  • Log call or SMS — For call or SMS tasks, click the action icon to log the activity directly from the table. This records the activity on the contact's timeline.
  • Change type inline — Click the activity type label to switch between types (e.g., change a “Call” to a “Meeting”) without opening the edit form.

Completing and deleting activities

To complete an activity, click the complete action on the row. A completion modalappears where you can add notes about the outcome.

When you complete a task that was generated by a pipeline activity frequency, the next task in the series is automatically created based on the configured cadence.

To delete an activity, click delete. You will be asked for a delete reason(e.g., cancelled, duplicate, not relevant, already completed). This helps track why tasks are removed rather than completed.
